Charlotte took up the sax around the age of 10 after a lucky opportunity at school arose to try out various instruments. She was looking to play something a little bit louder and bolder than the recorder and as soon as she blew a note on the the saxophone she was hooked. After playing in the usual high school bands, and touring Germany with Fallibroome Wind Band, she then studied with the fantastic late Roger 'Slim' Read who asked her to support him at his regular slot at El Rio's restuarant in Macclesfied. After regular appearances here Charlotte was constantly asked to play at weddings and parties and she began to build up professional work. She also played bass in a few rock bands in Macclesfield and Manchester.
Charlotte then went on to gain a sought-after place at Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and graduated with an impressive First Class Honours Degree in Music. She played in a variety of bands from drum and bass/nu jazz to alternative bluesy indie rock and studied everything 'music' including... production, performance, improvisation and composition all from the country's top musicians and lecturers.
Since graduating in 2006 Charlotte has been building up a name for herself performing at corporate events, parties and weddings around the country and her professional attitude and dynamic performance have helped earn her an impressive client base so far - including Cancer Research UK, Rookery Hall Hotel, Peckforton Castle, Malmaison Hotel, Raddison Hall Hotel, Royal Television Awards, Phones4U, Hilton Hotel and Chester Race Course, to name a few. When she's not entertaining people with her smooth and sultry sax sounds she plays in bands around Manchester on the bass guitar and sax and has just purchased a Sitar so is often found practicing that too.
